Meredith Kirby wrote about her son, Max, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2005, and their experience as a Four Diamonds family and involvement with THON. “There was that felling of love and support that has been with us constantly through Max’s ordeal,” she wrote. “We were part of a big team — a family — and we did not have to battle cancer alone.”
